HONG KONG -- Factual TV producer Natural History New Zealand is buying a stake in Singapore's Beach House Pictures. Neither the size of the stake nor the value of the transaction was disclosed.

The two companies have previously jointly produced shows including "Man Made Marvels."

"Joining forces with NHNZ will not only enable us to accelerate our plans in Asia and take Beach House to the next level in production but also benefit the wider Asian filmmaking industry due to NHNZ's decades of filmmaking expertise," Beach House MD Jocelyn Little said.

NHNZ opened a production office in Beijing in 2002 and since then has created about 15 documentaries and series totaling around 55 hours of programming.
