BERLIN -- One of the last remaining territories on John Woo's "Red Cliff" was sold during the recent European Film Market, when Constantin Film picked up German rights. The company also bought "Bangkok Dangerous" and "The Box" during the market.

At a budget north of $75 million, helmer John Woo's Chinese historical action drama "Red Cliff" is one of Asia's biggest productions of all time. It will be completed this summer with Chen Chang ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"), Takeshi Kaneshiro ("House of Flying Daggers") and Shido Nakamura ("Fearless") in the main roles. Rights are handled by Summit Int'l which previously licensed the film in many int'l territories last year.

"Bangkok Dangerous" is a remake of a Thai thriller of the same name, directed by Oxide Pang Chun and Danny Pang in 1999. The brothers helmed the remake, which features Nicolas Cage alongside Philip Waley ("Solomon Kane") and Charlie Yeung ("The Seven Swords"). Initial Entertainment handles rights to the film

Horror thriller "The Box" is in pre-production, to be completed in early 2009 with the $30 million budget from Media Rights Capital. Directed by Richard Kelly ("Donnie Darko"), pic will star Cameron Diaz and James Marsden.
