HONG KONG – The Osians Cinefan fest is set to give away $250,000 in prize money this year, its tenth anniversary.

          The New Delhi-based fest (July 10-20) will reward the best films in the two Arab-Asian and Indian competition sections with top prizes of $50,000 each. The newly created competition for films on tolerance and intolerance also offers a top prize of $20,000.

          Fest, which is backed by fine-art auction house Osian's, also offers kudos to thesps, writers about films and best first movies.

          In its first decade fest has established a film archive and a production fund and is now building and arts and film complex, the Osianama, in Mumbai.
