HONG KONG – Japan is set to be the country of honor at next year's MIP-TV (Apr 7-11, 2008) in Cannes.

The market and convention will "celebrate the best of what the media and entertainment industry in Japan has to offer" on Monday Apr 7 with conference sessions on Japanese animation and format exports, digital media presentations and an anime themed opening party.

MIP-TV is organized by Reed-Midem which, like Variety and Variety Asia, is a division of the Reed-Elsevier conglom.
