Which print articles appear on the Web site?
All articles, reviews, announcements and columns from Daily Variety's Los Angeles and Gotham editions, and the Weekly edition, are posted to the Web site. Some may appear with different headlines, or may appear in a slightly differnt version, than what appears in print. Collections of news briefs are split into individual items. Only selected special report / spotlight content is found online. Some, but not all, charts from the paper are found online; on the other hand, some appear with more information than appears in print, or are searchable and sortable online.
When is Daily Variety and Variety published?
Variety is published weekly, except one week in July and one week in December.
Daily Variety Los Angeles and Gotham editions are published daily except weekends and holidays, with two special issues in March and one special issue in July, October, November and December.
Holidays are: New Year's, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Which browser should I use to access Variety.com?
The site looks best with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Netscape 7.0, but is fully functional in both browsers, versions 4.0 and higher. We strive for, but do not guarantee, compatibility with other browsers.
What software do I need to watch Variety Vision?
Variety Vision is Variety.com's streaming video offering. Users currently require Windows Media Player to watch these clips. This software should be built in to the Windows operating system for PC users. Mac users can play Windows Media files in Quicktime after installing Windows Media Components for QuickTime (requires Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or later). Users with an older Mac OS should download the Mac version of Windows Media Player.

How do I subscribe to Daily Variety or Weekly Variety?
You can subscribe to the print version of Daily Variety or Weekly Variety online by entering in the necessary information on the print subscription page or by calling toll free 1-866-MY VARIETY (U.S. and Canada) or 1-515-247-2993 (International).
Why should I subscribe to both the print version and the online version of Variety?
The online and print versions of Variety complement each other nicely. The print version offers complete coverage of the day's news, plus charts and graphics and photos that don't display as well online. The paper edition is light, portable, and doesn't smudge your fingers like some other newspapers. Variety.com, on the other hand, provides access to stories the night before the print version hits the street, along with searchable archival data, and is an invaluable tool when you're traveling or on location. It also offers some additional articles and reviews, and has deep, rich data tools like the production charts and the box office section. Besides, access to Variety.com is included with your newspaper subscrption.
